Me and my partner got in a heated discussion last night over why is it his role to always put the seat down? Personally I never understood why men have to put it back down afterwards and or the women have to put it up afterwards.

I personally think that if you've flushed close the lid, so when you need to use it next, you can pick what you want to do, flush and close the lid so the next person doesn't have to move the position of the seat...
