HPV positive?

Hi all! 
I have just had my smear results back and I have  tested positive for HPV? And have “low grade dyskaryosis” 
I have to go for a colposcopy in March... 
until then I don’t want to google diagnose myself but can anyone shed any light? Or had the same experience? Thanks 
Ps I’m 28 and until recently had the same sexual partner for 10 years. I have now a new sexual partner that we have only ever used condoms.. do I tell him?

I am too. I have never had warts. I had right before pre cancer and had to have a leep procedure i am clear since then but it can always come back. Guys can't be tested for HPV. Yes genital warts but I'm assuming you're talkin about the HPV virus.

I had it. Got all three gardasil shots. Been negative for 8 years.

HPV has many strains. Some cause warts and some cause cancer. Your body typically fights off the infection on its own, but if it can't/doesn't, that's when it can get concerning. I would work on lifestyle changes that can help improve your immune system to assist your body in fighting this off. The colposcopy will tell you what grade the cells are and give you more information. 
Please make a list of questions to ask your doctor so you know you get the correct information.

plus you need to also tell your ex too. so he can get tested.

it's a wart virus, normally they either lazer them off or use like a freeze thing to remove them. You should get your other half to test too. As even though neither have you have ever cheated thia virus can stay dormant for years then finally appear.
