Finally my January baby came💙 Harrison Tate you are perfection.

Autumn • Mommy to Harrison 🥰💛

February 5th, our handsome Harrison Tate was born. Original due date Jan. 30th.

Let’s just say, nothing - absolutely nothing - went as planned but I am completely ok with that. He is healthy and perfect.

Had a membrane sweep done Feb. 4th, was 1.5cm. Went into L&D around 11:30pm that night because I noticed I was leaking fluid. They checked my fluid and noticed there was just a small pocket of fluid left. They admitted me - 40w5d.

Around 12:30am Feb. 5th they started me on pitocin. I wanted a natural birth, no epidural. At 4cm they decided to break my water. Contractions became insane, 2 minutes apart and excruciating. I now know what it means to be at a level of 10 in pain 🥴

I labored naturally for 14 hours to 8cm... then got the epidural. RELIEF. Why did I try to go natural??? lol

Unfortunately, after the epidural baby’s heart rate began dropping in reaction to the increase of pitocin. My body would not contract on my own. They inserted monitors to track the strength of my contractions and baby’s vitals, decided to add water back in hopes to help baby come. His heart rate dropped drastically again. At this point, pitocin was off the table.

I was exhausted. 21 hours of laboring at this point, health of my baby was a major concern, and C section was the recommended next move.

I felt defeated, after everything, all the pain to end up getting a c section. However, our godsend midwife punked me. Society wants to make you feel like you failed, but things don’t always go as planned - that’s life! And at the end of the day, my little boys health comes before everything! We can plan all we want, but that is impossible to do with children.

At 11:15pm, Harrison was born via c section💛💙🥰🤤☺️ He is perfect, sleeps and eats and snuggles daddy and I all day. I’m in love all 😍
