So I’m a full time hairstylist at a great salon that I really enjoy working. This is my first pregnancy. I’m planning on returning after maternity leave at part time. My boss told me if I needed to shorten my hours before that I was allowed as well. I wanted to hear from other stylists or ladies who stand all day (8-10 hour) for your jobs what you chose to/had to do as your pregnancy progressed. And also, did you work up until your due date or take leave before that? I’m planning on taking 6 weeks off but my boss said I can take longer if I need it. We are a small salon so maternity leave is unpaid.
