Pregnancy weight gain!?

Question

I am wondering what everyone gained during pregnancy?! I started out at 140lb and my last appointment I was almost at 180!! I am 23 weeks and I do not feel like I’ve gained a ton but apparently.... 🙈. I am really hoping this does not continue.. i am only half way there 😫

I gained about 50lbs total.  Started out at 105, lost a few pounds in the first trimester and by the time I delivered I was 152.
I lost like 30lbs within a couple weeks and have been at 120 since so the weight gain was good for me.  Just be healthy and remember you don’t have to increase how much you eat by a lot.

I started at 100lbs and gained 15lbs total. I’ve always been petite though. I did deliver early though (34wks, no reason why, normal pregnancy).

When I had my twins I had gained 53lbs between my first appointment and delivery, but the day after delivery I was down 48. I was unable to eat for most of my pregnancy, most days hardly getting 500 calories, so I knew it wasn’t “weight gain” as one would normally consider it. They said I was retaining massive amounts of water and that it’s really common. If you know you’ve been pretty solid on food and activity I would guess you might be like me, and there’s really not too much you can do about pregnancy water retention. Don’t worry too much, i think the body knows what to do to keep the baby as healthy as possible.

I know it’s hard, but don’t sweat it. Just try to eat healthy and get some exercise. I gained 45lbs with my first pregnancy and my baby was perfect and healthy as was I. So far this pregnancy at 23 weeks I’ve gained 13lbs. However I have a girlfriend who gained 80lbs with both of her girls and she’s very fit and healthy. Her doc said some people just gain a lot. She lost all 80lbs pretty quickly after both births.

Also on insulin so I think that could be cause as well
