Buying a home young

My boyfriend and I, both under 25 came across a home that we believe will be perfect for us and our future and have been together for 3 years. Since we are both religious we are not able to live together until we are married.

My parents have not met my boyfriend because they live overseas. This home is beautiful and my boyfriend suggested that we get engaged right away.

Engagement and marriage has been something we have talk about a lot and since the beginning of the relationship, we both know that we would want that in the future, but my parents have still not met him. He keeps getting frustrated with me because I tell him that we can not get engaged until you meet my family first, then you can propose, get married, and get that house. I tell him that if this is so important why can’t you just wait, but he wants to just do everything so fast and then says that I am scared of commitment. As much as I want this for the both of us, I feel stressed to do things the right way. Thoughts?
