Family Issue

So moved back to where my mom is from to work and get to know her side of the family. The first few months was good and then all of a sudden my family only came around to ask for money or to go do things for them. (Mind you I just started a career and was saving up for apartment and just got a car which they knew and i moved across the world with my 5 year old son that his father doesnt support so I really dont have extra money to just be giving out nor should I have too) Never to just hang out or catch up. It came to the point where if I didn't do or give them something, they would throw a fit and then not invite me to family events which they still dont. I would always have to go to their house which lately I cant because of a health issue. However, my life has been so much better when I just hang out with my little family of my own. But then they make comments that I think I am too good for them and it just sucks because I thought it would be so nice to see what I missed out on my childhood with my moms family. And I never ever think I'm too good for anyone, I just do not like the fake pretending that they like me or the toxic behaviors of only talking to me when they need something. Even a 17 year old in the family was tripping over a straightener. (I had told her I had an extra and she said no, she had one-so I gave to my mom because she is disabled and has a hard time finding a job so money is tight for her..and this girl texts me "next time you offer to give me something follow thru and you always have excuses it's so annoying" and my "excuses" are due to me not being able to drive to their house due to my health issue but they never come to my house. Plus you're 17 why the fuck are you talking to an adult like this over a damn item...like you have a job just say okay thanks anyways and go buy one smh. Like this isnt any type of family I care to be around anyways....all users and complain because you arent giving them what they want. But damn, I really hoped my family would have been at least a tad bit better! Have you guys experienced this? I only met them when I was little and then my parents got divorced and dad got full custody of us kids, so we moved off island and back to his home state. Idk I couldn't ever to this to family or friends.
