Zipadee Zip Or Merlin’s Sleep suit for 3 month old who’s 18 pounds?

My son is almost 3 months and a big guy 18 pounds and is growing out of the halo swaddle ant day. Which swaddle transition have you had luck with? The Merlin’s sleep suit is only good for 18-21 pounds so I’m not sure if it’ll be worth it with how fast he grows.

The Merlin worked well with my first for transition. He was also 18 lbs at that time. Kind of like a beached whale. His startle wasn’t as bad as my seconds. 
In my limited experience with two kids who woke frequently to nurse, transition period wasn’t pretty, but neither was sleeping in general. Lol. 
If you don’t mind shelling out money, just buy both. What works for one babe doesn’t always work for others.

Trying it with my second who is almost 16 lbs but has crazy startle, hasn’t taken to it yet really. He also likes his hands by his face so we use love to dream (arms up swaddle) at night 99% of the time.

That is a big guy! 😳 our little one is just barely over 11 lbs haha. From nanny experience I prefer the Merlin suit, but not sure with how big your chunk is 😊
