does he care about my depression?

so i have been talking to this boy for 1 month now and we are VERY flirty with each other. He lives in LA and i live in the UK, tonight I decided to tell him about my depression, he told me “don’t do no stupid stuff like cutting yourself” “don’t kill yourself” and he is telling me to sleep and turn everything off. I’ve just apologised aswell for telling him about it but he hasn’t replied. Does this sound like he cares about me?
