Jan28th baby came feb 8
Finally have some time to post my birth story. Was 41+3 weeks.
My son's birth was traumatic and has put me off for maybe not having a 3rd child in the future.
Started off with the hospital calling us in for induction. We went in for 10:30 am and was put on the nst machine for awhile just to monitor baby and myself. My BP was a little high but nothing too worrisome.
We ended up waiting until closer to 5pm as there were a bunch of emergency c sections going on and we weren't super high risk. They checked me and I was only 2.5/3cm dilated at most. They decided to put me on oxytocin to see if it would progress things. I don't remember the times too well but I believe a few hours later they decided to break my water. To our surprise I had so much fluid, I was soaking pads every few minutes. Clear and no issues. Then the contractions we're beginning to be unbearable because of the oxytocin. Took the epidural guy about an hour to make it to me... I was in tears and shaking. Failed the first epidural. I was in agony from it. The 2nd one worked. I got relief shortly after. They continued to up the oxytocin and then I started to feel immense pressure and pain again. It got so bad my body was just shaking during every contraction. I started crying again but refused more drugs. They checked me again and I was only 6cm. I kept telling them I felt pressure around my butt and vagina. Half an hour later they checked me again as baby's heart was dropping. I was a full 10cm. Started pushing immediately. I felt every single inch of giving birth to him. I screamed almost the entire time. Took 14mins to push him out. The cord was long and wrapped around his neck twice. He was healthy and safe though.
After the placenta came out I was then told I was hemorrhaging and they had to.manually extract clots from my uterus. The doctor shoved her hand all the up and retreived them. It felt horrible. They then gave me a needle and suppositories to stop bleeding and close cervix up.
It was a horrible experience for me.... But I am so happy he is here ❤️❤️❤️💖
