I am looking for some new audio books to listen to. Fantasy is my absolute favorite genre with dystopian & sci fi a close second and third.

I’ve read pretty much all the popular fantasy & dystopian novels (Harry Potter, Hungry Games, Percy Jackson, etc...) and dozens of not so popular books. But now I’m in a slump. Idk WHAT to read/ listen to!

What are some not so popular gems out there that you guys have enjoyed? The longer the book, the better!

Sarah J Maas!!! She’s an amazing author. Her books Throne of glass are amazing. But her A court of Thorns and roses series is the BEST SERIES EVER!!!

You have probably tried them but The Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas is an amazing series or The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon is good too.

You might have already read it, but Enders game is my favorite sci fi, and doesn’t include romance :)

I just finished “Love in the Time of Global Warming” and the sequel “The Island of Excess Love” and they were SO GOOD. Queer main characters, dystopian and magical world, and it’s loosely based on the Odyssey so tons of references to the classics. THEY WERE SO GOOD. Please go read them, I need somebody else to know how good they are!!!!

If you’re into romance, The Lunar Chronicles. It’s a 4 part sci-fi series of 4 books centred around princess retellings. The last book was 800 pages 😱😱

I’m not big on romance, in fact I can’t stand it. However, the Lunar Chronicles is one of my top favorite book series! ❤️❤️

Have you read mortal instruments? Because if you haven’t, you should. Other standbys for me are shatter me series, hush hush, uglies, legend by Marie lu, awaken by kacvinsky, reason to breathe, a beautiful dark, hush hush, birthmarked, die for me, iron fey by kagawa. Some fantasy, some not, but I prefer urban fantasy so you might like some of them

Shannon Mayer has some great dystopian fantasy books. I just finished what she has out of the Questing Witch series.

If you like comedy as well as fantasy I recommend Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series by Douglas Adams, and Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
