How do I get my baby to take the breast again?

My 4 and a half month old baby was being really lazy and not eating enough directly from the boob so we switched to exclusively pumping. Every once in a while I would breastfeed directly for the bond because it's still such an amazing bond and I love it. 2 days ago my baby started literally SHRIEKING any time I even put her in the POSITION to breastfeed. She just screams bloody murder...and it's breaking my heart. Is there no way to get her to eat from the breast again? Am I stuck pumping but never able to feel that bond I love so much again? I'm not ready for her to ween off me yet....I just want her to latch and it's fucking breaking my heart. I've tried nipple shields but they seem useless for older babies. I've tried giving her the boob when she isn't extremely hungry. I feel like I'm at a loss....

Since she’s had the bottle she now doesn’t have to work as hard for her meal she had to work for her meal when you nurse. You can always contact a lactation consultant they’d be able to give you some pointers.

My little girl is the same way right now and it is making me so mad because I also want that bond that we shared.  This all happened when I started going back to work and she would get a bottle more then nurse on me.  Everytime when I even get her close to my boob she cries like I am hurting her.  I just don't know what to do and it breaks my heart. I just want me little girl back.

Try skin to skin when you put baby to breast. Baby knows she has to work harder now and probably doesn’t like it. 😌

I had to pump till my baby was about 7 months old because he was in the nicu for a month and a half. When he was about 4 months old and just starting to figure out breastfeeding, I got mastitis and he wouldn't latch at all. I just kept trying about once a day and for a while he would get really upset. Sometimes he would take the breast once a day others for a whole afternoon. Then one day when he was about 7 months old it just seemed to click for him and it was probably a two day transition to just breastfeeding.

I don’t really have any advice girly but when my baby girl wouldn’t latch right, or express enough milk from my breast or just be lazy I would latch her as good as I could and then I would get a syringe or medicine dropper and angle it in the very corner of her mouth so there was a tiny flow of milk going and it actually helped so much. It encouraged her to latch better and express a lot more milk.
Or sometimes I would giver her an ounce of two from a bottle and then latch her on to finish of her meal! Good luck girl✨
