How bad are teeth and breastfeeding?

My daughters going on 5 months so she's gonna be getting teeth soon and I'm just nervous as hell to continue breastfeeding how bad is it. I didn't have any problems with breastfeeding for the beginning.

The bottom teeth are covered by the tongue and those tend to com in first. When my son would have teething week for upper teeth his latch would get a little smaller while teeth came in and that can be slightly uncomfortable but then he learns to open mouth bigger and it’s fine again. The fear of teeth is worse than the reality

He bit me a few times, but it was nothing compared to the cracked nipple I had the first six weeks. Took the boob away from him when he did it, and he learned really quickly.

I never noticed a difference when teeth came in. My son bit me once (lightly) around 10 months, I unlatched him, said “no biting” and stopped our nursing session. He got very upset lol but hasn’t done it since, now 19 months old.

I got clamped down on once. I swear it felt like something crunched. I still feel the pain when I think about it. He had 4 front teeth come in at 8 months old. That was really the only time it happened though.

My daughter bit my nipple as she was drifting off to sleep a few times when she was teething. It hurt like hell and reflexes kicked in real quick lol but it didn’t happen often. The wonderful moments breastfeeding outweighed the short moments of biting 100%!

I didn’t have any problems with it. She’s got like 12 teeth now.

My oldest was a terrible biter while nursing. I always joked that getting my nipples pierced would be less painful. I started taking him off the breast if he bit and set him away from me for a few minutes and it didn’t take him long to learn that biting = no nursing. Luckily my second has only bitten me once and it was by accident (i think). I jumped and it scared him so bad he started crying. He never bit again  after that
