Our sweet little nugget is no more. I was 14 weeks on Saturday. Because I was “healthy” my doctors had yet to send me for an ultrasound and “weren’t worried” about not finding a heartbeat.

I started having light bleeding last night, went to emerg this am and ultrasound confirmed I miscarried at around 8 weeks but my body didn’t recognize it.

Now I’m home, waiting for these pills to kick in and help speed the process up. Devastated.

Everyone told us things were fine, we were picking out names, ordering things. I have an order of maternity clothes on their way to me now.

We want to try again but are scared.

I’m scared to pass this miscarriage as I’ve heard it’s painful and traumatizing.
