Well, it wasn't a disaster 😂

Surprisingly enough it went quite well. Usually my partner is our buffer and he carries the conversation, but I ended up staying there for 3 hours and had a nice day. We spoke about a lot of things, including the fact that we've not always got on great but I appreciate everything she does for us. We're never going to be best friends, but the fact that we were able to spend so much time together without my partner being present shows we've come a long way. She even insisted on driving us back to my Dads so I wouldn't have to walk back, even though it's only a 15-20 minute walk.

She also made sure that I had a copy of her work rota, so if I need her for anything at any point I can let her know. She said that if she's off work, she's more than happy to look after our toddler while I'm in labour, but she'd understand if I would rather he went with one of my family members. All in all, I think today has definitely made us closer. Still got a long way to go, but we've come pretty far.
