Hi, I’m almost 3 weeks pp, and I’ve just had a look at my vagina and noticed my episiotomy stitch is clearly visible. It doesn’t even look like it’s holding anything together it’s just a loop that goes through me and most of it is outside the skin. Wondering when it’s supposed to dissolve?

Also confused about when it’s ok to have sex. The NHS site says when you feel ready and doesn’t mention waiting for the 6 week check up at all? I feel ready so we’ve bought condoms but then I noticed the weird stitching.
