Has your SO ever moved to another state / country for a job?

Question

If you answered “yes” how did it go? Did you go with them or was it only temporary/ they came back home? If you broke up, why? 
My SO is thinking about taking a job in California temporarily for a few months and we’ve never spend more than two weeks apart. I’m not sure what to think about it.. I’d like to hear some of your stories! 🙏🏻💝

I've followed my SO everywhere he needed to go. We've bounced back & forth from Idaho & Oregon for the past 10 years since we've been together. Being apart has never been an option. 🤷‍♀️

I moved away from my SO for 4 months to NH from MD. It was an 8 hour drive. I flew home every month to visit. He was really busy with school and work anyways. It worked well for us

We moved from Manhattan to San Francisco for my husband’s grad school and I didn’t know a single soul in California. Best decision we’ve ever made.

Well I’m December 2017, my Husband went to San Francisco for his work for month, then Yuma, Arizona for 6-8 months, Kingman, Arizona for 3 months and now finally back to the Bay Area (permanently) in November 2018. So since he was constantly traveling I decided to stay home stable with our children. We plan to move with him hopefully in the summer 2019 🤞🏼, he needs that approval for our home plus I want our children to finish rest of the school year that ends in May. We been long distance for long time but we took turns visiting each other every month even if it was only couple days. It was hella hard and took a lot emotionally. We communicate every single day even if it’s not all day but at least we updated each other & face time. It was a big risk but we decided it was best for our growing family. Today his Restaurant in the Bay Area open and so far its booming! I’m proud of him, it was a lot of sacrifices and challenging bumps we hit. It’s not easy but if you guys are strong , solid, patient, loving and trusting then you guys will survive! We did have our moments, bickering and complaints but were not perfect and sometimes the loneliness gets to you especially me being SAHM with a 9 month old that misses her papi ♥️
