Is it weird that I’ve never dated?

Listen up ya’ll. I’m about to be spending my 21st Valentine’s Day alone and even tough I’m totally good with it (spending it with my girlfriends at the mall 😋) it got me wondering: I’ve never dated or even had someone show interest long enough to even let it develop into a relationship. Is that strange? Is something wrong with me :\ 
How old were you guys when you’ll started dating/ fell in love?

I’m 28 and I have have 2 boyfriends. I dated one person for 6 months when I was about your age, and then I was single for 6 years before I met my current boyfriend, who I’m totally in love with. I used to think I was weird too, but as I’ve aged, I’ve realized that it’s okay to enjoy being by yourself. I learned to really like myself in my 20s, so I’m glad I was single for most of it. I went on a few really awkward dates in those 6 years, but it always felt forced. Once I met someone who I felt completely comfortable with, things just progressed naturally. If you’re cool building strong friendships and enjoying your own company, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

It’s really just dependent on the person. I’m 18, and i’ve been in two relationships that lasted longer than a year, the last one was nearly two. I also have a friend that’s nearly 19 and has never dated and only sort of talked to one guy. Everyone moves at their own pace.

It's not weird. I was 18 in my first relationship but it was really more of going out with someone because they showed interest and not because I was really into it. After that relationship I spent most of my time single. Sometimes it just takes time to find the right person.
