Can’t eat hot dogs?

So I heard with my first pregnancy that we can’t eat hot dogs? But never asked my doctor and just didn’t eat them but this time around I really really want a chili dog! You think it’s ok?!

Yes if it's hot through the center when it's served it's fine. Just don't eat often because of preservatives and nitrates.

I buy the Hebrew National ones because they’re all beef and no nitrates so not as nasty for you. But generally hot dogs are not a big deal if you’re not eating them often.

In my first trimester with this baby I craved corn dogs. Had them once or twice a week for awhile. And ive eaten hot dogs. Honestly you can eat whatever just in moderation I guess. Salads arent bad either

Do it! It’s fine. Just no raw dogs

My doctor said it’s fine as long as you boil them first and then cook again either on grill or microwave. Just be sure any bacteria that could be in them dies
