So relieved

So at my first ultrasound appointment at 8 weeks my OB said she saw some fluid around the baby’s head she said it could be nothing but that it could mean something was wrong...she recommended I go to a fetal maternal medicine office for a NT scan at 12 weeks and get the blood tests as well. So for a month I’ve been on pins and needles and so afraid something was wrong with my baby. I suffered a missed miscarriage with my last pregnancy and so I’ve been so anxious already with this one.

We went last week for my apt the baby measured right at 13 weeks and the NT measured at 1.7, the Dr there said baby looked great and this morning I received the results of my blood work which said baby was low risk for all trisomy abnormalities and that we are having a GIRL!!! I’m over the moon...I have an almost 3 year old son and always wanted one of each, I’m trying so hard not to cry bc I’m at work and they still don’t know I’m pregnant, but I wanted to announce here bc very few people still know that I’m pregnant besides close family. We are gonna announce soon though, but had to let out my excitement somewhere. ❤️
