My daughters 2nd birthday is today

My daughter is 2 years old today. The plan was for her dad and me to take her out to eat tonight and throw her a get together for the rest of the family on Sunday. Instead he left us home alone while he hangs out with his friend and complained about doing two things on two separate days. I’m honestly upset. I just wanted us to do something with just us three because Sunday we will have a lot of people over.. I feel as if he is choosing his friend over our daughter on her special day and to me that is so pathetic. He is always choosing friends over us.
