Baby pressing on cervix

Hi ladies, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and been experiencing pressure and pulling in the lower abdomen and rectum for 2 days which made it very difficult to walk. Spoke with my doctor and was told to go to labor and delivery last night. When they checked me baby girl is already head down and pushing on my cervix. Thankfully cervix is still closed. Doctor said there is a possibility that she will stay that way until birth. Have anyone experience this before? Did baby head turn back to the upward position? What was your outcome? TIA
