Sex after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage 1.5 weeks ago. I asked my doctor when my husband and I could be intimate again. And they are wanting me to wait until my hcg levels are gone!

Does that seems accurate? I have read some places where you can go back to “activities” after 2 weeks of bleeding has stopped and mine is almost done.
