Spotting during pregnancy, is sex okay while spotting? That is not from sex.

I have had light pink spotting, I am 5 weeks pregnant. I have went to the doctor & got hormone levels checked today & will have them checked again on Tuesday. I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent a miscarriage she said no but I forgot to ask about sex!? I am really missing it. The spotting was Wednesday for an hour hardly any and than nothing Thursday than some today but only once with very little pink when I went to the bathroom later in the day just leftover residue I believe. Any advice from anyone that has experienced this????
