Any August 17’ moms trying this yet?

Any moms installed rail like that on convertable crib? How are you finding it?

Not planning on doing this until absolutely  necessary haha. I have a baby coming April so I'm not in too much of a hurry. My big guy is enjoying his crib and not attempting to climb at all.

This is the bed we have and when baby number 2 is old enough to be out of our room (our son will be almost 3) then he will move to top bunk! We are in the process of building the stairs and guard rail now.

Ive been trying it on my daughter for past week, she seems confused,  stil thinking she is locked up lol so i have to take her hand in morning and say sweetie you can come out on your own, but no running around getting out falls asleep as usual

We are in our convertible crib as a toddler bed now, but without the rail. She’s only fallen off twice in the first two weeks, (onto pillows we placed on the floor) when waking up and trying to maneuver her space to come get me. Otherwise she’s been sleeping it in with no rail at all. I’ve considered one like that, or the toddler rail made for her crib, but I figured it was just another thing for her to climb on/fall from and could be a potential safety hazard.

We used that with our son and the crib, it is tough because it makes it difficult for them to get out as it only leaves a little gap, so my son would get his legs stuck in the bars when he tried to get out. We switched to a single mattress on the floor and he loved it. Hasn't fallen out and we don't have to worry.

We did with my son, but he didnt like it so we went back to the regular crib.
