Can I ask to be induce I go a day or two after my due date?

I seriously don’t know if I can handle a late term baby. Mentally and emotionally, I am worn out. First time mom, and I have had the hardest time with this pregnancy. Physically, I am worn down to the core. I know most inductions are for medical reasons but the level of mental and physical stress this pregnancy has put on me is insane. I feel silly bringing it up to my doctor but I think I will. For now I am wishfully hoping he comes on his due date or a few days before.
