How to get on Clomid??

Hey ladies! What was the process to get on clomid? I have an appointment in three weeks to talk to my doctor about it but I want to know if I will be getting the prescription that day or if I’ll be having to do lots of testing?

I didn’t get it until the 2nd fertility appointment but I ovulate on my own. We both had testing done then we got a diagnosis (male infertility factor) and a plan, ivf in April/May so clomid is to try in the meantime

I think every body is different, and it probably depends on the doctor but with my experience I had a whole bunch of testing and ultrasounds and things done to make sure there was nothing wrong before he prescribed me the Clomid. But if you already went through the previous testing that your doctor would like there’s probably no reason why he couldn’t prescribe it that day for you

My doctor didnt give me clomid right away. I had to do two months of birth control to regulate my periods because I wasnt having one then I had to track and take ovulation test for 2 months. At my follow up 4 months after the first visit my ovulation test showed I did not even come close to ovulating on my own and I started 100mg of clomid cycle days 5-9.
