Trying again advice please

So i asked my doctor when i get pregnant again are they going to take better measures to monitor this one since i had a miscarriage. They said no they’ll do the usual 8 week ultrasound then not another until 20 weeks.

I feel like this is wrong. Shouldn’t they be doing more ultrasounds or checking my blood for hcg levels now and everything? Maybe I’m wrong ?

We’re not trying again until i get my period but just these are some questions i have and wonder if it’s normal what they’re going to do or should i find another doctor
