Getting my son a doll?

Raven

Anyone get their children a baby doll to help them adjust to a "baby" in the house before the baby is actually here? I'd planned on carrying it around, pretending to do diaper changes, etc

Also teaching him to be gentle with something he associates with a baby. I've never had a problem with him not being gentle with babies, normally the first thing he wants to do is hug them and pet their tummies. Think it's a good idea? And no, I don't want to hear about "no he's a boy, you shouldn't let him play with dolls. Dolls are for girls." I don't care for that stereotype, he plays with them at his cousins when were there, he just doesn't have any at home since he's got a crap ton of toys and he's car and dino obsessed. We've just not thought to buy a doll until now since at the stores he just goes straight to cars and dinos even if we passed the dolls. 🤷 And with a little girl on the way well they'll be plenty of dolls in due time I'm sure that he'll play with then too. We'll be getting him a girl doll since we're expecting a little girl and want him to be used to it.
