Is it possible to have a period and still be pregnant?

There was a post asking this and I tried to say I didn’t think it was possible. To which multiple people replied saying that I was wrong and shouldn’t be spreading false info. So I’m confused 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can bleed monthly mimicking your period but no you can not have a “period”

I hate this topic as there is always someone who says "I did". It's physically impossible to have an actual period whilst being pregnant. You may have breakthrough bleeding which is NOT the same thing.

Like the others said you can “bleed” which makes people think they got a period but it’s not a true period. My MIL got a “period” for 6 months, went in to get gallbladder surgery and they did a pregnancy test before hand as routine and turned out she was 6 months along with my SIL with no idea.

No it’s not possible. A period is shedding the uterine lining and you cannot do that while the uterus is housing a healthy pregnancy.

Yes possible. I had a period with all three of my pregnancies. It was light and lasted almost a week. It was probably implantation bleeding, but can be thought to be a period. My mom had her first two periods with each of her kids (6). She didn’t find out she was pregnant with any of us until three months and my one sister it was 6 months that she had a period each month. It really just depends on the woman’s body.
