Does my son look like he has a big head?

Doctors said my sons head is big and that he needs to gain weight to “catch up” to it. Personally I don’t think his head is big and big heads run in my family. It’s actually an ongoing joke between our friends that our heads are big (even before my son was born)

That sounds ridiculous! My LO is 90% for head and 30% for weight and our pediatrician has never said anything about her needing to gain weight to catch up to it. Every baby has their own growth curve.

Doctors can be such socially awkward pricks sometimes. My mom’s OB walked into her first appointment (when she was pregnant with me), pointed at my dad, said, “You have a big head,” and proceeded to introduce himself to my mother. The same doctor also said that I was a dwarf (based on the size of my head in proportion to the rest of me in an ultrasound) and I’m not... My point is that just because they’re doctors, we can’t assume they know everything! You have a very handsome little boy with a perfectly fine sized head!!

My son was told his head was very large when he was born (biggest the nurse had birthed that day) but he’s grown into it. I’d try not to worry ☺️

My son has always been in the 97th percentile for his head! He’s just smart 😂 his head doesn’t look big to me!
