I have read a ton of stories about women having negative experiences with hormonal birth control, but I also know that, generally speaking, people are far more likely to talk about the bad things that have happened to them than they are to talk about the good things when it comes to things like product reviews. I’m wondering if anyone has had POSITIVE experiences with their hormonal birth control that they would be willing to share here?

I started Ortho Tri-Cyclen yesterday, and I’m trying not to drive myself into psychosomatic symptoms by reading any more negative stories, lol. Is it possible NOT to experience wild side effects, or am I dooming myself to depression, lack of sex drive, and a perpetually dry vagina? (I know it’s different for everyone.)

The guy I’m with already pulls out every time we have sex, but I’m not brave enough to rely solely on that to avoid getting pregnant. And, I know it sounds stubborn, but neither of us wants to use condoms, so hormonal bc is where I’m currently at.
