Is anyone else’s first born not excited about new baby?

My daughter is six and just could care less! I have a friend that recently had a baby, and her daughter (same age) was the same way until baby came! But I’m worried my daughter isn’t gonna change her mind!? Hahah any experiences

Normal and keep an eye on the new born because the first born doesn’t realize what it is and could hurt the baby.

Totally normal! My sister in law said her boys (3 & 6 at the time of their new brother's birth) could've cared less throughout the pregnancy and even once he was born (when they visited in the hospital). I think they don't fully understand what's going on, and that this new baby is going to be with them for the rest of their lives. I think once he officially came home they finally realized this was their baby brother & loved him!
