Not showing off baby?

So I’m a new mom and I have limited the things that I would post of my baby. My family keeps pressuring me to show pictures of her and post her up but I don’t think as of right now, if that’s something I want to do for a while. I don’t know what I should do in this situation I don’t want to be disrespectful but if anyone wants to see her there more than welcomed to see her in person.

They should respect your decision. Just tell them exactly what you told us, that if they want to see her they can see her in person

We also don't post pictures of our son online. We don't live near any family so we made a Dropbox folder and shared the link with them. Usually upload new pictures and videos every week or so. That way they get to see him, but we have a bit more control over who gets access.

You have every right to say you Dont want m pictures posted, nobody should be pressuring you to do do anything you dont feel confortable doing your the mama you know best when it comes to your baby. 😊❤

I was the same. Especially with my background we have a tradition where a baby should not be posted anywhere or basically shown off for 40 days to prevent evil eye.. thats what we believe and so I didnt post my son on any social media and for those who thought they were funny and posted photos of my son I asked them to take the photos down as it was disrespectful towards me and my culture.. like you said also anyone is/was welcome to see my son but I was against posting on social media. Just put your foot down and explain to them that this is your final desicion as the childs mother and you would lile for everyone to respect that.

Tell them that. Tell them you prefer to not put her on the internet and whatever else, but if they would like to see the baby feel free to call so you can come over. Thats not disrespectful, it’s boundaries.

We do not put any pictures of our children on social media/internet. We use the photo sharing on iPhone and that way my parents and siblings can see pics of my babies. If if android has a photo sharing app or not but it’s an awesome private way to share, you can like and comment on pics easily.

Maybe start a private group text or email them occasionally if your problem is that they would be online for everyone to see. But if you just don't want to share that is perfectly fine it's your child.

Just tell them exactly what you posted. It’s not their decision as it’s your baby and you don’t have to be disrespectful when telling them that. if you don’t feel comfortable posting your own kid then that’s up to you
