Is bleeding in early pregnancy a concern?

We found out a week ago that we’re expecting, today I started bleeding red.  We had a early loss last month too but it wasn’t red spotting when we lost. 
Do I wait until the bleeding stops to test again and see if anything has changed?

I’m sorry you’re going through such a tough time. I can’t give you a definite answer (as no one here truly can), but I can give you my personal experience. My first loss at a little over 5 weeks I spotted pink for a few hours and then the red bleeding came. It was very light like a tolerable period and I had 0 pain. One clot about 3 days in & only bled for 5 days. I conceived 2 cycles later, only to start bleeding red at exactly 6 weeks along. This time it was heavier but still only a medium period, and I had cramps and constant various sized clots unlike the first time. Unfortunately each loss is different, but in my experience I’ve been pregnant 5 times and have only bled while pregnant with my two losses. I have two sons, and am also expecting my third son in May & had 0 bleeding at all with them. 😞I hope you get answers soon!

It’s really up in the air. Some people bleed during pregnancy and all is good. Some lose the baby.

You should always notify your doctor ASAP when any bleeding occurs during pregnancy. That doesn’t mean it’ll have a bad outcome, but medically speaking it is always coded as “abnormal bleeding” when any blood is present during pregnancy.

I went to drs as we just suffered a loss and he said to wait 2 cycles before trying again as chance of miscarriage earlier then 2 cycles are 50% more likely. I would go to the drs and have them check your bhcg and monitor you.
