Does birth control cause unpleasant side effects?

I’m wondering if birth control gets any of you guys nauseous at all & for those that have been on it for a while, do you not get your period as often?

I stopped with BC completely because I have found anything that doesn’t make me sick. I get migraines out of this world and am throwing up because of it . When I took the pill, nuva ring, and the patch I was definitely on a more regulated bleeding pattern . Nexplanon (implanon)I had it for 4 years and it was horrible. 4 years of irregular but constant bleeding , the migraines, the nausea , the mental and emotional roller coaster it had me on . It was no good for me. But I think it’s just me... BC doesn’t interact well with my body at all .

I just started on Norethindrone. My first two days I got headaches and felt nauseous. Then I started taking it with food and it’s been fine.
