What would you do if every time you ask you s/o if you two can go out on a date, he says “it’s not worth the money” I swear I ask if we can plan once a month going out and he says he doesn’t wanna spend money and that could be money we save.. i feel so out of touch with him. Home bound always ... but he’ll go buy a $200 fitbit & cigarettes & etc...

I’d take myself/a girlfriend on a date and tell him I’m spoiling myself since he won’t. Then I’d really contemplate if for the rest of my life I want this man to tell me I’m not worth special time in public or spending money on... this is obviously an important aspect in a relationship to you and he isn’t listening. He’s being selfish. Soooo your turn to be selfish! It’s a necessary at times!

There are soooo many cheap date ideas. You don’t always need to go to dinner at a fancy restaurant. Take some stuff from home and go on a picnic (if the weather is okay), you can go hiking for free, you can do fun things at home like playing games or painting. It shouldn’t be that difficult to do something nice but also keeping some money.

I'd probably find an SO who I had similar financial priorities as, personally. 
I tend to take relationships really slow exactly for this reason- because I have really high standards for compatibility and I don't see the point in trying to force compatibility where it isn't..
But that's just me. Maybe you should save and plan for an outting yourself, then, and just surprise him.

Seriously? You could go to the dollar theater, go out on a walk, go to a book store, dates can be cheap or free. He needs to reaccess his priorties if he's getting a fit bit and cigarettes, those two things don't even go together. If he cared for his health he wouldn't be smoking or trying to stop.

I have the opposite problem lol I’m tired of me and hubby going on dates, not like I don’t cook 🤷🏽‍♀️ I prefer to be home and go on a date once a week he wants to go out at least 3 to 4 times a week on dates 🤦🏽‍♀️ I like saving money too but not going out at all would upset me also
