Anyone else little one spit up a lot?

I breastfeed and my son spit up right after a lot of the time. I took him to the dr and she said since he’s gaining weight it’s not really an issue but hearing your kid choke in the middle of the night can be terrifying. Anyone deal with this or have suggestions
I have been holding him upright for 20 minutes after feeding during the day but not in the middle of the night. He also doesn’t spit up as bad during the night just every other night or a little trickledown.
Tonight it shot out his nose so I just don’t want him to keep being uncomfortable

This is my life. My son spits up so bad that we change clothes multiple times a day. He wears bibs all the time and soaks through them. Putting him in his car seat is a nightmare bc it is covered in spit up too.

Mine has good days and bad days. Coming out the nose has definitely happened more than once. Freaked me out the first time it did too. Remember that the amount of spit up always seems like more because it's mixed with stomach acid.
The only thing that would concern me personally would be the choking part. Can yours roll over yet?  If so, you could ask your pediatrician if it's ok to have them sleep on their side maybe. But if not, the risk of SIDS is greater than choking so best to stick with back sleeping until they can roll over.

Mine spit up constantly after almost every feeding, it turns out she was nursing too much. Now I wait until she slows down on the nursing (she usually pops of to smile), then I burp her and wait to see if she seems satisfied or if she is still rooting. Usually she is done so we go about our day-spitup free! She was just getting too much milk.

Does baby sleep in a bassinet? We had the head of the bassinet elevated for the first 2 months of baby’s life. I also try to keep my girl upright for 10 minutes after a meal before laying her down and that seems to cut down on the spit up.

Pre-burping your baby might help. My daughter was a puke machine! I started feeding her less and burping her before and after eating.
