For those of you who have common names....

How do you feel about your name? Do you wish your name was more unique or are you alright with having a lot of other people with your name?

I always loved my name because I knew people were speaking to me. I remember having multiple Jessica’s and Ashley’s in my classes and they had to be referred to by their first and last names. When someone said “Carly” it was pretty much a given that they were speaking to me.

The name my husband and I had chosen for our child was something we chose several years ago before pregnancy was even a thought. In the past couple of years, the name has risen in the charts and of course, now that we’re expecting, it is now in the top 10. I’m having a hard time finding something else I like, even with the millions of names out there. Trying to figure out how others who have common names feel about it.
