My mom....
My dad was telling my mom he felt bad for not being there when my first daughter was born. My mom arrived in town right after my csection and stayed for a couple day. She told him “You wouldn’t have wanted to be there anyway. She had her boobs out all the time (mom didn’t nurse) and she had blood dripping down her leg, it was gross!”
She’s told this story in front of me probably four times and every time she does I tell her she needs to stop telling it and never repeat it again. I find it mortifying and I can’t believe she would say something like that to my dad. I’m tempted to call her tonight and tell her if I hear it one more time, she’s not allowed to visit after this next baby is born (she wants to stay with us for a month).
Am I in the right or should I let it go and take advantage of the free childcare? Mothers be mothering... 🙄🙄🙄🙄
