Did you bring people to your anatomy scan???

This is my first baby and im team green. Altough i prefer yellow lol . Since we arent going to find out the gender i wanted to invite some family to see the baby on the screen . Just my husband 2 of my aunts and an uncle possibly but i was wondering if that would be weird at all? Not for me but for the office is it to many people?

That would have been too many people for my anatomy scan. There was really only room for one, MAYBE two people, but the ultrasound tech said they really prefer just one other person in the room. 
It’s best to call and ask what their policy is because it’s going to be different everywhere.

Umm this is very personal of course, but I'm not sure about this one. First, this ultrasound is done mostly to take alllllll the measurements of your baby, and there are quite a lot. Plus, the baby is not always in the best position, so the tech has to concentrate and poke around a lot, so I'd imagine they need a very quiet environment to be able to do their job properly. Plus, I had to get up and go for a walk twice to try and move my little peanut around, so that the tech could get a good view of the heart. 
In my case, I was also diagnosed with placenta praevia and vasa praevia, which are rare, but the tech spent at least 15 minutes just looking at the placenta (not that exciting), and I had a vaginal ultrasound as well to mesure my cervix and have a closer look at the vasa praevia. 
So it is a very special moment, but it can be demanding for the medical staff because it's a very critical milestone in your baby development and they don't want to miss anything, so that's probably why most of them won't allow a whole crowd in there 🙂

My 20 week anatomy scan is coming up and they told me I can only have 1 person in room :/ they said others can wait outside and then come in after the scans to see the pictures n stuff but that’s it.

You could always go to an elective boutique ultrasound place after or before the fact and invite your extra family to that?
The main reasoning for this ultrasound is to take lots of measurements of baby to make sure everything is growing and developing how it should be. It’s a medical appointment 
If family wants to know the gender it may be fun to book another scan elsewhere?

I was only allowed 2 people with me. If I was allowed more, I would of definitely gone for it. The doctor will be looking at all the babies organs so the gender could possibly be revealed to you and your family. It’s a wonderful experience.

Our first was my parents and my husband, but they only let 2 others in the room at the same time when we found out the gender. This one just my husband and I because we aren't finding out the gender.

Yes! Call and ask how many people are allowed. I took my spouse, mom, and dad my first pregnancy. Itll just be me and my husband this time

Not sure if they always do this but at my anatomy scan they did a vaginal ultrasound to measure the length of my cervix ... just something to consider when inviting so many people

My drs office only allows 2 or 3 people in the room... if they allow you to have as many as you want go for it
