Low HCG blood levels?

After 8 months of trying & 4 rounds of Clomid, I finally got my BFP. I started spotting Wednesday night (5w1d) and went to the ER. My HCG level was 305. I saw my OB the next day and he said he was concerned because it was on the low side of how far along I am. Has this happened to anyone else?
