First period with copper IUD ⛔ TMI ⛔

I've had my copper IUD for a little less than a month and was due to come on yesterday. I've had some pink-tinged discharge/slight spotting for about a week and awful cramps an bloating for about 3 days but doesn't look like AF will appear any time soon. I've also had LOADS of watery/mucusy discharge (like so much that I've thought I've peed myself a few times this week) and I've had a really strong smell downstairs (kinda fishy I guess) which seems to be subsiding a little now. Haven't bothered the doctor with it as I have my IUD check up in a few days.

I knew my periods might be heavier and longer now but is it normal for your cycle to just be a little "off" for a while?
