Can NOT find daycare 😩

My son will be a month old tomorrow and I’m set to go back to work in 3 weeks. The problem is, I don’t have daycare for when I go back to work. I commute an hour to work and I wanted my son to be close to my work so that I can go see him on my lunch breaks and nurse him, etc.

I recently discovered there are only about 6 daycares in the entire town that accept infants, and they are all full with a waiting list till June/July.

I’m so bummed. I don’t want to put him in a daycare where I live because then he will be an hour away from me and I won’t be able to see him on my lunch breaks. I’ve looked at Care.com and even Craigslist but so far there’s no options there either.

I feel like an idiot for not looking when I was still pregnant. My son was my rainbow baby and so with this whole pregnancy I had this mentality of “I’m not going to plan for the future because what if I miscarry again then I have to tell everyone that I miscarried” so I didn’t look at daycares before I had him and now I wish I had because I then I would actually have a place to put him when I go back to work.

I don’t know what I’m going to do. Any suggestions??
