TIPS FOR BUDGETING FOR BABY!?

Well I’ve been buying diapers here and there since I found out, but I’m only buying size 2 and above. I know most people buy newborn/size 1 for my baby shower and don’t want to have a bunch left over (although I believe you can trade them at the store for same brand in a bigger size for some brands/stores). Aldi has packs of diapers for $3.99 near me! I buy one or two per paycheck and we have quite a bit in our stockpile now. We do this with wipes as well! 
Also, I thrifted almost all of her clothes so far. I look for weather appropriate clothes in bigger sizes as well!

Used clothing stores. Like in the US theres one called once upon a child. They have used clothes, toys, boppy pillows, bassinets,swings, everything. Most things are usually anywhere from $2cheaper to half the price of new things. And they often have sales on clothes. we also took a lot of secondhand from friends so our LO is probably good on all clothes except shorts/pants from newborn - 12/18mo. We also used an Amazon gift card to bulk buy wipes. If you dont want to buy yet, just set money aside each month, or each paycheck that will go towards baby supplies.

I’ve spent maybe $100 total on the first year of baby clothes, and I went WAY overboard too lol I have enough clothes for an army of infants. The only new clothes I have are the ones I got at my shower, the rest I bought secondhand. I also got a ton of diapers at my shower, I’m talking like 6 cases and a bunch of smaller packs too, and 2 cases of wipes. You will get a lot at your shower, people love buying baby stuff lol. I also got my pack and play, bassinet, and changing table secondhand for $30 total. The only thing I refused to buy used is the car seat. Honestly if you’re not snooty and don’t mind buying secondhand/used items, babies aren’t that expensive. It’s just that tv and magazines and even other people make you feel like you have to buy $500 car seats and $1200 cribs and all brand new designer clothing and what not.

I put money aside from each paycheck plus buy a lot of stuff used. I won't pay more than $1 per item when I buy clothes used lol Brand new stuff I buy online with coupons or on sale. Carter's website always has clothes on sale, I just wait for an "extra xx% off" and buy pajamas or packs of onesies if I need them. Plus, always check the sales racks first! I look at bigger sizes to put aside for when needed.

Cloth diapers and make you own wipes..that'll save you a few thousands.. May be a little costly initially but more than balance out in the long run.
