Induction questions - please help

Hi mamas. I’m being induced tomorrow and am not dilated whatsoever so I need something first to kick start that before the petocin. My doctor order Cytotec for the cervical softening. My research on that pill is absolutely terrifying and I’m not sure why any hospital would offer that up as an option. I don’t know if my hospital has Cervidil as an option or the gel option. I just wasn’t prepared for an induction and am now trying to learn as much as I can so I can be a part of this decision making process. Can any of you offer up some advice or thoughts on the various methods and what is most safe for my baby and I? I’m so nervous and worried.
