IBS management
A little embarrassing, but I’ve suffered with IBS the last 3-4 years at least. It comes in waves, but when I have flare ups it’s awful.
It’s a bit of a long story, but my IBS basically comes from chronic yeast overgrowth, candida, leaky gut, food intolerances, and chronic stress (which causes a handful of other issues like adrenal fatigue syndrome, thyroid balancing issues, and screwed up hormones...) just to name a few.
Right now I’m having a flare up and I’ve been so uncomfortable, not to mention I’m on my period which makes everything so much worse. I’m just glad I have today and tomorrow off work.
Does anyone suffer from the same things I deal with? Anyone have any remedies to help the symptoms? The loss of control and cramping?
I’ve tried ginger, peppermint tea, and drank a lot of water today. It doesn’t help i suck at drinking water usually. But nothing has helped too much so far. I thought I was okay earlier, so I ate lunch, but now I feel sick again.
I’m already dairy free, gluten free, oat free, corn free, and no cane sugar...but I will say that I’ve had some cane sugar lately and gluten as well. So I figure the build up of that has effected the state of my gut and intestines. I also take probiotics and supplements regularly.
Help?! Any suggestions?!
