Im going to be induce in a few hours for medical reasons ...any tip??

Be prepared for a c-section. The less epidural you use, the less chance you have of a c-section. However, sometimes c-section is inevitable. Eat before you get induced 😂 if you’re allowed. You might throw it up but at least you won’t be starving before then. Once induction begins you won’t be allowed to eat. Breath through the pain. If turning the light off helps the pain, ask. It’s crazy but whatever you’re comfortable with. 
Last but not least. Demand that they check the baby is in the correct position for birth before they try to induce. Some doctors induce without checking and end up putting baby in danger. 🙄

Eat as large a meal as you can. I don't care if they tell you to eat lightly. Once I got there they wouldn't let me eat and it took 20 hours. I only ate 2 hardboiled eggs before going and by the time I went to push, I was weak and shaky. Next induction I ate a huge high protein meal before going and did a lot better. 
Another thing I didn't know induction #1....you have to go through a certain amount of iv fluid bags before they'll let you get the epidural. Induction #2 I requested they not start the pitocin until I had a few bags finished so I could get the epidural sooner.

Take your rings off, if you are wearing any. They start pumping you full of fluids and your fingers fill up.

Agree on the epidural points. Try to hold off on getting one as long as you can. I got one early cause my contractions were so painful and had to have a c section.

I’d say it’s super painful. I did it without the epidural as I read that there’s higher chance of a c section of you do. 
It is so different than going into labor on your own. So be ready. And yes. I’d eat something because it could be a long process... good luck !
