Menstrual cup

Just wondering peoples advice on these? I started using one today for the first time but don’t know if I’ve used right. Had a little trouble getting it in but once was in it felt comfortable, didnt even know it was there so got that right. But when I went to take it out I found it had gone quite far up, but not too far so I couldn’t get it, is that normal? I thought maybe it cos I’m used to a tampon string being quite long. Also had a little trouble getting it out, but again maybe as I’m not used to it.
