Stock investing in 2019?

I am 20 years old and thinking about my family’s future and was curious about if  i should start now? I was reading a few articles and read that the market is estimated to drop by 30% in 2019. I live in HI and houses are already dropping in price...

Look into mutual funds or bonds. Stocks are pretty volatile and without proper knowledge and research it is hard to make money long term. A financial adviser can also guide you and set up an annual plan.

I bought a vanguard target fund. It’s is risky when you are young and changes to less risky when you get older. I’m averaging 12% return. I lost some last year when the market went down at the end of the year and I’ve already made it all back by Feb. you definitely won’t see that growth in a CD or savings account!
